Something strange happened early in the morning on February 22, 2012 in the small village Riashu dos Rokos, Brazil.
A local resident, Jose Mendez tells a loud noise, similar to an explosion was heard and when he went out to see what was happening, he discovered a mysterious object in his yard.
What happened resembles another incident that occurred a few months ago in another part of the world
The object Mendez found in his yard is a metallic ball of unknown origin.
The diameter of the ball is a approximately a meter and its weight is about 30 kg, according to Brazilian media.
No-one was hurt during this incident, but the metallic ball damaged trees in the yard and left a hole in the ground.
The most puzzling aspect of the whole story is that when the ball is shaken, something appears to be moving inside!
For the time being the nature of the nature of this mysterious object cannot be determined and it is assumed that it could be part of the some spacecraft, or a satellite.
Residents in the village of Riashu dos Rokos, Brazil were astonished when they found this metallic ball that fell from the sky.
In December last year, a similar hollow ball dropped from the sky over a remote grassland in Namibia, prompting NASA and the European Space Agency to investigate.
After two months of investigation, scientists concluded it was space debris.
Investigation will hopefully shed more light on the nature of the Brazilian metallic ball that has attracted a number of curious people from neighboring regions
